Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania!
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, your safari guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Arusha Planet Lodge. Take time to relax and settle in, preparing for the incredible adventure ahead. If you wish, enjoy a complimentary guided tour of Arusha City, exploring local markets and soaking in the vibrant culture. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the lodge, with breakfast served the following morning. Spend the night at Arusha Planet Lodge.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Land of Giants
After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and striking baobab-dotted landscapes. A full-day game drive with a picnic lunch offers opportunities to spot lions, leopards, and diverse wildlife along the Tarangire River. As the sun sets, head to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Central Serengeti – Heart of the Wild
Following breakfast, journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, home to the legendary Great Migration. An afternoon game drive reveals the park’s abundant wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras. As dusk falls, arrive at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp for dinner and an evening under the African sky.
Day 4: Northern Serengeti – The Great Migration Spectacle!
Rise early and set off for the Northern Serengeti, where the dramatic Mara River crossings unfold. Witness thousands of wildebeest braving crocodile-infested waters—nature’s most thrilling spectacle (best viewed July–October). Spend the day immersed in this breathtaking event before retiring to Sero Tented Camps for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti & Return to Central Serengeti
Begin the day with another thrilling game drive along the Mara River, offering more chances to witness migration crossings and predator action. In the afternoon, return to Central Serengeti for further wildlife exploration before settling back at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp for the night.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Africa’s Eden
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. This natural wonder hosts the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards—alongside flamingos and other birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Lake Manyara & Departure
On the final day, embark on a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and bustling baboon troops. After lunch, transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward journey, concluding an unforgettable safari experience.
